Two years ago I was exactly where thousands of men and women are today – sweating out the first day of their respective state’s bar examination. The test varies state by state, with most requiring that tomorrow all these thousands of aspiring lawyers answer 200 multiple choice questions in six hours to complete the Multistate Bar Examination. That’s one question every one minute forty-eight seconds. But after enduring rigorous undergraduate programs, surviving the LSAT elimination tool, and completing rigorous legal education programs resulting in Juris Doctor degrees, 20-50% of these people will fail this test (pass rates varying by state). Doesn’t that suggest a problem somewhere in this system? Oh well, enough of the rant. After all, I did pass. Sympathies and good luck to everyone who’s there today.
