Clouds and Silver Linings
Cloud: The Shell and Union 76 gas stations closest to Casa and conveniently located between home and the nearest freeway onramp now have the unmitigated gall to charge $2.39 and 9/10ths for a gallon of basic unleaded. That’s 30-40 cents more per gallon than their downtown competition.
Silver Lining: Haven’t seen a car at either station in days. With a little bit of luck and karma, the owners of these “service” stations are losing money hand over greedy-little-outstretched-fist. Not to mention what they’ve lost in good will. Yayyy! Go Free Market.
